PLASTIC PLANTING DAY

It’s finally here…planting day! At least it’s Day 1 of planting!

Planting into the biodegradable mulch…aka ‘plastic’…is a VERY slow process!

As the 2 row poly planter runs along the field, it pokes a hole and drops a seed every 8”. Each seed is nestled into the soil to a depth of about 1-1/2” and hopefully into a nice warm and moist seed bed.

Thomas drives less than 2 MPH and has about 6 acres to plant which will take about 8 hours! Be sure to give him a honk and a wave as you drive by…he will be there for a while yet !

We will check the progress of these seeds every couple of days so be sure to check back again so you can watch them grow too!
