Today is a very exciting day on our farm!! After years of talking about going to sub-surface drip irrigation, we have now started the journey! This season will see our final 9 acres of sweet corn being watered from 12″ below each row. Over the next 5 years we will be transitioning from overhead irrigation to this method of watering and feeding all of our sweet corn crop. Sub-surface drip irrigation will allow us to maximize our ecological resources more efficiently and responsibly, and to grow a more consistent product for you!
