As we get in for a closeup we see the tassels peeking out from amidst the mass of leaves just getting ready to stretch out towards the sky!

This is the start of a corn plants reproductive cycle! The tassels are the ‘male’ part of the plant and each little pollen pod contains thousands of pollen flecks that will burst forth into an explosion of yellow dust ready to pollinate each cob of corn!
