DEVELOPING ROOTS
We look for the first sprout within 72 hours after planting!
So incredible is the power of a seed when the conditions are ideal…it’s in its DNA to GROW!

Beyond the sprout is an incredible infrastructure developing consisting of:

Lateral seminal roots
These unsung heroes are what will bring nutrients to the young plant and help anchor it in the soil!
Mesocotyl
The mesocotyl is the tubular, white, stem like tissue connecting the seed and the base of the coleoptile. Basically it is the beginning of what we see as the stalk of the plant below the soil.
Radicle Root
And of course the radicle root will continue to grow downward into the soil, anchoring the seedling and many fibrous roots will shoot off of it.
What is happening below the ground is what will later support what we will see above the ground in just a few more days!
Before long the root mass will be huge!
